Absolutely the best Thai restaurant in Calgary. Spicy, but so delicious and addictive. The green curry is a must-try, and the pad Thai was incredible as well. I had seafood this time, but they’ve also kindly substituted tofu for me in the past when I said I don’t eat meat. You can ask for mild if you prefer less heat. The coconut ice cream was a lovely surprise. It was rich, creamy and refreshing. I’d love to come back regularly. The service was great too.

The chef special crispy fish with tamarind sauce is one of my favorite dishes in Calgary and pairs great with their coconut rice. The mango sticky rice is amazing and you can really taste the coconut in the ice cream. The pineapple creme brulee was giant and was very refreshing, would be great to share in the winter.

Decided to check this out due to its high rankings for Thai food in this city and I must say, they deserve it! Their service and the food presentation was top notch. I have so much to say but to summarize, it’s a wonderful place to have some Thai food. Sadly, they do not have some of my favorite meals like the basil fried rice and cream cheese wontons which I wanted to try. Cons - the QR codes on the table do not work, takes you to a dummy site -the deep fried pork spring rolls were mostly veggies, could barely taste the meat. (Check inserted picture)

Such a fun little eclectic restaurant! Lots of interesting decor. I love that it makes you feel some place else - even if it’s just for an hour. The staff were super attentive - absolutely no complaints! The food was delicious and plentiful! The pan-nang curry with prawn was spot on. We tried a new dish, their fish special (fish with tamarind sauce) was delicious and would highly recommend. Huge portion of coconut rice, thank you...much appreciated! This was our first visit and we will definitely be making Juree’s a part of our regular rotation.

As soon as you enter you know you are getting a fantastic meal. We started with the deep fried egg rolls and they were perfectly fried, crispy, and flavourful. For entree I had the cashew chicken that was incredibly presented and packed with different flavours. I highly recommend both dishes, however if you aren’t familiar with the menu item you want, you may want to inquire. Overall INCREDIBLE

My partner and daughter are big fans of Jurees. My first time dining here, and first impression arriving, this place is bursting with atmosphere. The decorations are a bit tacky, but fun, especially for a family with younger children (under 13). The service was great; attentive with water refills (maybe a bit too attentive) and consistent check-ins on our satisfaction. The food was okay. The green curry was delicious and easily a 5, full of flavor and easily recommended. But, the pad thai was underwhelming and the crispy pork was disappointing (not crispy enough and the fat was rubbery). The Pink Ladies were good but were also lacking flavor. The Thai dumplings were a treat for the eyes and were unique and tasty with an interesting texture. Overall a great place to dine as a family, but if you are looking for an out of this world dining experience, keep looking. The free birthday ice-cream for my 10 year old was a nice end to dinner. Very sweet (the ice-cream and the gesture). Recommend.

I was only in Calgary for one night and craving Thai food, so I looked up a few places and landed on Juree’s Thai Place thanks to its glowing reviews—and I’m so glad I did. They were kind enough to squeeze us in with a last-minute reservation, and from the moment we walked in, the service was warm and welcoming. We were a bit tight on time (only had an hour), so we skipped appetisers and drinks—but I have to say, their cocktails looked incredible and I’m definitely trying one next time. We stuck to the basics: Pad Thai and green Thai curry with coconut rice. Our order came out quickly, though there was a small mix-up with shrimp in the Pad Thai (we had asked for vegetarian). The staff handled it with such grace, immediately replacing it without any fuss. The food was genuinely delicious. The green curry was especially standout—rich, creamy, and full of flavour. I found the Pad Thai could’ve used a touch more salt and spice, but I also know I’m a bit over the top when it comes to bold flavours, so take that with a grain of (literal) salt. The ambiance was spot-on: Thai-inspired decor, gentle music, and an overall calming vibe. They packed up our leftovers for us, which was a nice touch. All in all, a great spot with great service. I’d absolutely return—and next time, I’ll make sure to explore more of the menu beyond the classics. See more restaurant reviews on Insta @EncyclopediaOfWineandDine
